Here’s what our Review Readers had to say about
“PHILIPPINES SURVIVAL HANDBOOK!”
( Survival Handbook for Safe Enjoyment of the Philippines)
“Perry,
Thanks again for allowing me to get an early look at your latest book.
Although I feel that this book is an invaluable resource for any 1st time visitor to the Philippines, I’m sure that even the most avid traveler will find something of value. I plan to recommend it to any friends or family before they come for a visit.
There are details, specific to the Philippines, that are quite valuable to know before arriving! I especially enjoyed the section about LHBG’s lol!
During my 1st trip, I thought my wife (then gf) was just over-protective, but I now understand that, in her mind, my well-being was her responsibility. I now depend on her judgment a great deal whenever we go anywhere. I’m sure she has kept me from alot of grief!
As far as criticism, I would only say that there are some type-o’s here and there. You make no secret of the fact that much of it is common sense to the reasonably mature reader. Who knows, this book might save somebody’s life!
best regards,

Perry,
Once again you have done all of us a great service with this new book. Thanks for including my contributions and changing the name as I asked. Since I still live here I have to be a little circumspect about these things. The book is great, it covers a lot of stuff expats need to know but where are you going to get it without coming here and risking making the mistakes? Adios, Craig E.
Another great book Perry. You cover all possibilities. It’s not only good for the first timer but has information in there which an experienced expat like me can make good use of. I have been thinking a lot about some of the things I read and have already started to change the way I deal with the locals. It seems to work better.
For Newbies the book has the basics that will give them confidence and help them keep out of trouble on their first trip and later they will get more and more out of the book as their knowledge increases.
